Designed to be built-in to your wall, The Sideline® 72 delivers are larger flame format than our OnyxXL, so the flame is larger and really stands out. The Sideline® 72 has a ventless design, with the heat coming from the front of the unit. Like all Touchstone™ fireplaces, The Sideline® 72 has the most realistic flame available in an electric smokeless fireplace, and it will leave all your friends questioning if the fireplace is running on gas or if its electric.
The Sideline® 72 is ideal for larger family rooms, long basement walls as well as commercial uses. The 72-inch design is perfect for corporate entries, meeting rooms and restaurants, providing the looks and feel of a real linear gas fireplace without the maintenance required by gas or gel-based fireplaces. Of course, The Sideline® 72 can also be operated without the heat on, with just the light of the fireplace operational. It's your choice and The Sideline® 72 wall-mounted fireplace makes it easy.
The Sideline® Series Fireplaces now come with Both glass crystals and a faux log set. For a contemporary feel, install the glass crystals in The Sideline® Series Fireplace. For a more traditional look, install the faux log set in The Sideline® Series Fireplace. The Sideline®Series Fireplace ships with both options, so you can choose the look that is right for you.
The Sideline® 72 electric is designed for recessed placement in your wall, but it can be hung on the wall as well. Instructions for mounting and install come with the fireplace, and we recommend you follow the simple instructions provided. We do recommend placing The Sideline® 72 at least 20" below your ceiling or 12" below your mounted flat screen because of its heating feature.

My wife and I are very pleased with this product. We spent a lot of time looking for fireplaces and just couldnt find one we liked enough that wasn't gas. I happened to run across this one while searching for ideas on building a bumpout in our wall and sure am glad I did. Shipping was very quick and the follow up from customer service was great.
Easy to install. The flames are realistic. The only thing I am uneasy about is there is a slight humming/rattling when the heater is on ? Also the heater is not that powerful.
My wife and I had installed a model by Cambridge that we found to be louder when the heat was on and the fire was not believable. The Sideline 60 is much more quiet and the fire is much more believable. We love it.
The fire place is beautiful. I built the box and put the stones around the fireplace and it is beautiful. See attached pictures
