RUTLAND 600ºF RTV High Heat Silicone Sealant is a great solution for sealant needs. Not only is this a powerful adhesive, but it will also seal gases and smoke permanently, with limitless uses in the home or on job sites. Use it to seal fireplace inserts, repair solar panels, or apply ceramic tiles to your fireplace surround or heat shielding behind your stove. Can also be used to seal a chimney cap to withstand wind, rain, and hot smoke.

Silicone will adhere to most clean surfaces, including glass, metal, plastics, fiberglass, wood, brick, and stone.

Directions

TUBE: Cut tube tip to the desired opening. Sealant can be applied in temperatures as low as 30°F provided the bonding surfaces are dry and frost-free. Do not sag or slump even when applied at 100°F or higher. Tool joints immediately after application. Caulk will be tack-free in 20 minutes and fully cured after 24 hours.

CARTRIDGE: Cut the nozzle tip at an angle to the desired opening and insert it into a caulking gun. Puncture inner seal. Apply by pushing sealant ahead of the nozzle. Sealant can be applied in temperatures as low as 30°F provided the bonding surfaces are dry and frost-free. Do not sag or slump even when applied at 100°F or higher. Tool joints immediately after application. Caulk will be tack-free in 20 minutes and fully cured after 24 hours.
