Where should I use the Yukon?

The Yukon works great in a backyard, ranch, or anywhere your group plans to gather. Be sure to only burn the Yukon in a well-vented area with no overhang.

Do I need to purchase any accessories?

Nope. All you need are some logs to burn. If you plan on using the Yukon on sensitive surfaces, consider getting the Yukon stand to help protect the surface below. |
How do I cook on the Yukon?

The Yukon was not designed with cooking as the main objective. The Yukon is meant to be used as a backyard fire feature. That said, feel free to break out the marshmallows or hot dogs on a stick! |
What wood types do you recommend using as fuel?
|
Any firewood logs will burn but for optimum efficiency, we recommend dry hardwoods. Hardwoods such as birch, maple, hickory, and oak will burn longer than softwoods. Be sure to avoid driftwood as it contains a high concentration of salt that can potentially corrode the fire pit. |
How many logs should I use?
|
We recommend using 8-10 logs up to 22" long. Be sure to not overfill your Yukon and keep the fuel below the upper vents. Once you have a hotbed of embers, you can always throw on another log or two. |
How do I clean and store my Yukon?
|
After your Yukon is cool, turn it upside down to empty any remaining ashes left in your fire pit. We recommend that you always cover your Yukon when it's not in use. It's that easy! |
Will my Yukon be hot when in use?
|
YES! Do not touch any part of the Yukon when in use. It will be extremely hot. Children should always be under parental supervision when around the Yukon. Use common sense and treat the Yukon like any other fire. |
Can you place the Yukon in an existing fire pit?
|
Yes, however, we recommend 4-6 inches of clearance around the unit for proper ventilation. |

I had placed an order, through Lowe's Home Improvement, for an Electric Firebox: Revillusion RBF42. Ordered 1st part of January. Was told I would have it in 3 weeks. When checking to see is it came in, was told it was delayed to 3/15. Was then told is was delayed until 4/25. Waited until 4/27 to check on it. Was then told it was now delayed until August. This firebox was going in a new Sun Room addition. I could not get my final inspection until the Firebox was installed. I went on line and googled for this same product. US Fireplace Store web site was given to me. This was on a Saturday. I call and reached a very nice man. Explain what I was look for. He checked and told me they had 30 of them in stock. I almost fell out of my chair. I clarified with him the product I was wanting. I ask how soon could I get it. He told me it would ship today. Again, was amazed. It arrived on the following Monday. What a pleasure and a relief working with US Fireplace Store and their employees. Exceed my expectations.
